Arts in the Park 2023 | Richmond, VA

Wearing my Alpine Dreams dress at Arts in the Park in Richmond, VA

This weekend at Arts in the Park in Richmond, Virginia, I couldn’t believe the steady stream of art lovers who came out to bask in the beautiful weather and shop for fine art.

These two pictures of the grass, one taken on Saturday morning and the other taken on Sunday morning says it all. People came out in droves, and I’m delighted to have nearly sold out of the stacks of high quality limited edition and open edition prints we brought.

If we sold out of your favorite prints in person, you can still find them in Shop Art.

This Spring, I’ve loved setting up our tent in all kinds of different settings, from the indoor pavillion of 4 Bridges Arts Festival in Chattanooga, TN to the Sloss Furnaces Historic National Landmark in Birmingham, AL. This weekend, we set up in the beautiful Byrd Park at the heart of Richmond, VA.

It was a sight to see 350+ artists’ tents dotting the stretches of grassy knolls underneath towering oak trees. The dappled sunlight and Robin’s Egg blue sky peering through the canopy of trees made for the most idyllic setting for this weekend’s art fair.

Once the art fair began, we barely had time to come up for air, with all of the art lovers flooding in from every direction, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Three of my favorite original paintings and countless prints found their new homes here in Richmond.

Though we were running busy all weekend long, I couldn’t be more grateful for it. I would always rather be busy than bored.

Thank you so much to all of our Virginia friends and family who came out to visit and cheer us on. I truly appreciate your love and support.

We would also like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all of the Arts in the Park organizers and volunteers who helped make this weekend run so smoothly. We were astounded by the sheer volume of helpful, knowledgeable volunteers who dedicated their time to help connect art with Richmond locals who will cherish it.

We cannot wait for our next Spring art fair in the beautiful garden setting of Stockley Gardens Arts Festival in Norfolk, VA on May 20-21. Check out my blog from this Fall’s Stockley Gardens Arts Festival for inspiration. In the meantime, I’ll be in the studio, painting away to create fresh new works for you to treasure.
